A life of deception in a world of deceit
Just trying to get by, so we could all eat.
Never sharing our feelings, put a smile on your face
Appearance is everything in the big fake life race.
Inside you crumble but the world must not know
Failure is your own fault, everyone tells you so.
You don’t deserve their pity, you feel a disgrace
You need to be winning that big fake life race.
Afraid of disappointing you keep everything inside
Friends don’t exist they are acquaintances along for the ride.
There is no one left to turn to; there isn’t any place
for you to feel emotion in the big fake life race.
All you want is to feel loved, you hunger for protection
Scared to be yourself alone you accept no less than perfection.
Will the nightmare never end? Will you ever feel embrace?
This is not the life you want in this stupid fake life race.

I am sure this is the mindset of others. Mindset is not graved in stone and can be changed with some effort and trying. Self improvement, personal happiness and the law of attraction are all good things to read about and gives you a starting point.
